Word for the Week: Encouraging

This week the word is Encouraging. Since, the beginning of the year, I have told the kids that we want to put others up, not down. I thought it would be fitting to have this word, to talk about the impact our words have on others. Everyone today can use some positivity and lifting up from birth till on their death bed. I want the kids to never give up and to look for opportunities to be positive!

Bible Scriptures

1 Thessalonians 5:11

Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

Hebrews 10:24

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Bro. Branham Quotes

God we ask it in Jesus’ Name for the victory. Help us now. Forgive us of our sins. May we all meet at Thy home someday in peace. Until then help us as we go along encouraging others to believe. For we ask it in Christ’s Name, the Son of God. Amen.

Isn’t that just like the Lord? He knows how to encourage us in the right matters and discourage us in the wrong matters. We could all learn a good lesson right here in running the church and our families. And better still, we could all learn a good lesson in that God deals with each one of us in exactly this way. Don’t ever be discouraged, Saint of God, for God is not ungracious to forget your labors of love. Whatever we do, even giving a cup of cold water to some one, has a reward and blessing from the Lord.
