Today Mrs. Andes talked to the students about what it means to be a nurse. They found out that boys and girls can be nurses, found out what nurses do, the different places nurses can work, and a little bit about the first nurse Florence Nightingale. She took blood pressures, listened to hearts and lung sounds, and gave them bandaid cookies to eat! At the end of the presentation everyone knew proper hand washing, how to prevent getting and spreading germs, and many decided they may want to be a nurse one day!
