Spelling Bee Contest

Today in Grade 2/3 we had three spelling bee contests. The kids all had a lot of fun and there was lots of hard words spelled. By the third contest the kids were really getting the hang of how to play. The winners were all from Grade 2. Great work to all the avid spellers!!

Data Analysis: Class Survey’s and Bar Graphs

Today in math the Grade 2/3’s did surveys on their peers about different subjects. They learned how to then show their results by using a bar graph. It was a fun and interactive learning experience!

Monoprinting In Art Class!

Today in Art class we covered the kids desks with alniunium foil and had them paint designs of lifecycles we have been learning about in science. Some did frogs, caterpillars, butterflies, salmon, trees, flowers, etc. The kids loved it and each one did an awesome job!

Grade 3’s Learning Polygons in Math!

Today in Math, the Grade 3’s used straws and connectors to resemble edges and vertices. By creating 3-D shapes, the kids were able to catch on quickly with the concept of prisms, pyramids, quadrilaterals, pentagons etc. Ask your third grader if they can tell you the different polygons and how many sides each one has! …
